Not quite a poem as much as a drunken confession
Getting drunk by yourself is only depressing
if you realize it

You’re friends aren’t picking up
and are having parities
without you

Drink
listen to punk rock and gangster rap
And soon enough
you won’t care anymore

You’ll realize that people
have been drinking alone
for centuries
-
And there’s nothing
depressing
about history
-
right?
